So the jacket is high quality nylon with strong thread as well. The cut and fit are spot on military. With all that being said I was looking closer at the fit between this and the slim fit. One thing must be understood about the original, it’s made to work with other military clothing and equipment. As an example, if you’re wearing a flight suit and other equipment you need a jacket that fits over this and allows your arms to move freely. This jacket as a result has generous room in the upper arm area and a pocket attached to the left arm. It looks great! I can even wear a hoodie underneath without a problem. If you’re looking for a less functional but more fitted look go for the slim fit. The arms on the slim fit are less roomy but look better for sure. Either style looks great. The only down side to this jacket is all the loose threads. They really aren’t an issue. Just take some sciccors and trim away. I use a lighter after I trim the thread low. If you do that be careful not to burn anything you don’t want burned. So, maybe don’t use the lighter. Lol. The fit also reminds me of a tanker jacket I used to wear in the Army. So now that you know remember that, “knowing is half the battle.”

I bought this jacket for my son. It is a really ice jacket, but one of the selling points for him was the flag on the inside, unfortunately the black does not. The Grey had the picture with the flag and we assumed so would the black one. That is what one gets for assuming I guess. He decided to keep the jacket, though I am really disappointed that it was not clearly stated that only the grey had the detail on the inside.

This jacket has an unusual fit. That said, it hasn’t changed since the 90s when I last wore one. Size up if you’re looking for a longer baggy fit, or wear it like it was meant, true to size.

A bit big. Color a bit off. But nice jacket overall. I should have seen in person before getting this.

Usually a medium fits me with everything. But the medium in this jacket was too large. I’m 5’8″, 150#, 30 waist, 40 chest, 32/33 sleeve. In the regular cut medium, the sleeves were too long and the length of the jacket was also too long. The chest was also very big. I tried slim cut medium, but it was way too tight in the waist and chest. I then got a regular cut small and this worked out perfectly. As for the jacket itself, it’s very high quality. Super sturdy zippers, everything is well made. And, it’s super warm. Highly recommend.
